 How safe is to give your personal information on websites such as facebook, instagram my space and any others? What’s the limit for you?

At this point in time im tempted to say that any information shared on social media can, and will be used against us. Big enterprises trade our secrets so they can give us a more "personalized" experience on their websites, wich usually translate to weirdly specific offers, to buy stuff related to our recent google searches, or visit certain websites that suposedly could interest us.
For my part i put no limit on the information i share, this is because i assume that with my date of birth and name they can acces pretty much all information there is to know about me. We are already beign watched, and a few extra security steps are not going to stop big time business from advertising relentlessly on our everyday web life.
